Questions

Questions, answered

Will it actually fit the Ryanair sizer?

Yes. Compressed, it measures 40 × 30 × 15 cm. Ryanair's free under-seat allowance is 40 × 30 × 20 cm, so it drops in with 5cm to spare.

Compress it before you leave for the airport, not at the gate. A soft-sided bag that has not been vacuumed down will bulge past the frame.

Does compressing it make the bag lighter?

No, and we would rather say so plainly. Vacuum compression removes air, not weight. Your clothes weigh the same compressed as they do loose.

What it changes is the shape, and shape is what the sizer measures. Most airlines cap cabin bags at around 10kg and some do weigh them, so pack accordingly.

How long does the compression hold?

The one-way valve holds a full seal for a normal travel day. Long-haul, or if the bag takes a knock, you may notice it relax slightly. Ten seconds with the pump puts it back.

Do I need to buy the pump separately?

No. A rechargeable travel pump is included free with every KABINBAG Original — a £39 product in its own right. Any standard household vacuum works on the same valve too.

Will my clothes come out creased?

Some, yes. Compression presses fabric, so cotton shirts and linen will need hanging up when you arrive. Knitwear, denim and technical fabrics come out fine.

How much is delivery, and how long does it take?

Free on UK orders over £50, which includes every KABINBAG Original. Under £50 it is £4.99 standard or £6.99 express.

Orders are despatched within 1 to 3 working days, and delivery is a further 3 to 5 working days from despatch, tracked — so most orders arrive within 4 to 8 working days of being placed. Full detail on Shipping Policy.

What if I change my mind?

You have 30 days from delivery to return it for a full refund. The bag needs to come back unused and in its original packaging, and return postage is paid by you.

If anything arrives faulty or not as described, that is on us — we cover the return and refund you in full. None of this affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, which give you 14 days as a minimum.
